Wrexham AFC is inviting charities to apply to benefit from a match-day bucket collection
CHARITIES are being invited to apply to benefit from the welcome return of Wrexham AFC’s match-day bucket collections.
The charity bucket collections at the Racecourse Ground are set to resume at the match against Torquay on October 30.
Both local and national charities are welcome to apply but the club is keen to ensure that there is a focus on those operating within the club’s local community and directly benefiting Wrexham AFC supporters.
Any interested charities have until Monday to apply to be a part of the welcome return of this fundraiser.
Wrexham AFC’s disability liaison officer Kerry Evans said: “With the season now up and running and supporters back in the Racecourse Ground, we are pleased to announce match-day bucket collections will also be returning.
“Wrexham AFC are proud of our community focus, and are keen to ensure we can help as many local, and also national, charities as possible.
“Each match will have one dedicated bucket collection, and we hope to cover a broad range of charity organisations, which is why we are asking all charities who wish to be considered for a collection to get in touch.
“We would like to thank all Wrexham AFC supporters who have given generously over the years to these bucket collections.
“Please note, any requests not fulfilling this brief cannot be considered for a bucket collection. All requests must be submitted by Monday, October 4.
“I will be collating all valid requests. Collections will be allocated to ensure a fair spread between types of charities and where they are located – with a focus on those operating within our local community, and directly impacting Wrexham AFC supporters.
“All applicants must have a charity number, and we ask any previous beneficiaries to follow the same process, in the interest of providing fair opportunity to all applicants.”
To apply for one of the charity bucket collection slots, email Kerry Evans at email@example.com with the charity name and charity number, along with a brief 200 word description of what the charity does and how it would benefit from a collection.
