Registered non-profit charities and organisations in Ayrshire can now apply for a share in £10,000.
GSK Irvine announced that applications for their 2021 community awards are now open.
Registered non-profit charities and organisations can now apply for a share in £10,000.
This year three successful applicants, including charities and organisations dedicated to improving the local Ayrshire community to help people to do more, feel better and live longer, will receive between £2000 and £5000.

Site director of the GSK Irvine antibiotics site, Cammy Mitchell said:
“The annual local Community Awards is an opportunity for us to recognise organisations committed to improving our local community and the lives of people who live in Ayrshire.
“It’s really humbling to see the magnificent work and commitment within the community from a wide range of organisations.
“Last year, we were delighted with the number of applicants from organisations to our awards.
“When we assess the applications, we look at how the funding will be used and consider both the number of beneficiaries as well as the impact the organisation has on their clients’ lives. We also consider any funding that we have granted in the past.
“Last year, through our awards we were able to make a real impact to three diverse charities and organisations.”
The winners were: Gold Winner: Ayrshire Hospice; Silver Winner: Children 1st
Bronze Winner: Fullarton Community Association.
Cammy added: “I am delighted to invite applicants from organisations across Ayrshire, who are helping people in our community to do more, feel better and live longer to apply for these prestigious awards.”

If you are a charity or organisation wishing to apply for an award ranging between £2,000 – £5,000 to fund a specific activity or purpose that will benefit people in Ayrshire, please contact the Site Engagement Leader Sharon Baillie, sharon.e.baillie@gsk.com for an application form. Applications close on the 30th September 2021.
