ALMOST £6,000 has been raised for a Gobowen-based children’s charity after three events organised by a Shropshire company.
The series of events held in and near Oswestry were organised by Adrenaline Sporting Events, which had selected The Movement Centre as its chosen charity for the biking and running experiences.
Founder of the company, Alan Lewis, chose The Movement Centre as the charity to receive the donation from the profits at the three events.
Curtis Langley, fundraising and marketing officer from The Movement Centre, was delighted to hear The Movement Centre had been selected.
He said: “We were kindly given free charity places, so that our supporters could get involved, and we were overwhelmed with the amount raised over the three events.
“We are looking forward to working with Adrenaline Sporting events moving forward and can’t wait for the 2022 events.”
The funds were raised at the Midnight Ride, Pedal Pushers and the Brynkinalt Running Festival.
Money will go towards supporting children and their families, and help the charity provide life changing therapy.
Alan said it was an enjoyable experience working with the team at The Movement Centre.
He added: “I’m thrilled with the way the events and fundraising have gone. Next year is already looking good and I look forward to building on this year’s success.”
All three events were supported by local companies, including; Aico, Kronospan, FIX Auto Oswestry/Wrexham, Stonehouse Brewery, Henstone Distillery, Now Group, CYC Fitness and Shropshire Galvanize.
Further sponsors included; Perspective Wealth Management, Shropshire Live, Furrows, Town and Country, DMC and Mule Cycles.
Both organisations are now looking forward to the events in 2022, and entries for Midnight Ride, Pedal Pushers and Brynkinalt Running Festival are all open now.
